Your Quote

We always try to make our quotes and estimates clear and straightforward. There may on occasion be some esoteric terms that might not be as clear as they could be, if you are not sure please do ask.

Building Materials: These are the things we need to do the job. You know the sort of thing: timber, tile adhesive, plasterboard, bricks & teabags.

Consumer Materials: Consumer materials comprise items you have chosen or surface finishes, i.e. bathroom suites, kitchen units, light fittings, a toilet roll holder, or paint. We are always happy to provide brochures, advice and any assistance to help you choose.

Estimate: A price for your job that is not fixed. This can be based on discussions with you and a site visit or non building-regulations plans. Some projects may have uncertain elements or elements that could not be known until work starts. It is not uncommon for customers to have not finalised their plans or know their finishing requirements until the project is underway. Our length of experience in pricing means our labour estimates are unlikely to change during a project, unless the project changes.

Quote: A fixed price for your job. We can provide a quote based on a site visit combined with detailed discussions with you and/or building-regulations approved plans. Quotes generally include labour, waste disposal, building materials and management time. A consumer materials quote can be integrated into a labour quote.

Waste Disposal: Our quotes and estimates are usually priced to include waste disposal, normally based on the use of a skip on or adjacent to your property. The costs of waste disposal are increasing all the time. To keep these costs to a minimum and to reduce the environmental implications of our work we always try to re-use materials, but only if appropriate, and we try to re-cycle metals.

Please note we are unable to deal with asbestos waste but can contact asbestos removal specialists on your behalf if required.
